The University of Lagos will host a roundtable discussion on the 18th of August in an installment of the UNESCO/WJEC partnership surrounding journalism education in Nigeria. Curated by Professor Ralph A. Akinfeleye, the theme of the event is “Bridging The Gap between The Classroom & The Newsroom.” Participants from media organisations and media regulators will join Nigeria’s top journalism educators to discuss the practice of compulsory post-graduate traineeships and journalism education’s strengths and areas for development in Africa.
