Professor Daniela Dimitrova will give a talk on Global Media Systems in the Age of Change
Daniela V. Dimitrova (Ph.D., University of Florida) is a Professor in the Greenlee School of Journalism and Communication at Iowa State University and Editor-in-Chief of Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly. Her research interests include political communication, cross-cultural journalism studies and media framing of conflict and migration. Dimitrova’s research has been published in leading journals such as Communication Research, Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly, New Media & Society, Press/ Politics, International Communication Gazette, Journalism Studies, and the Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication. Her edited volume titled Global Journalism: Understanding World Media Systems was published in 2021. Dimitrova is the recipient of multiple awards, including AEJMC Senior Scholar and was recently selected as Fulbright-University of Vienna Visiting Professor of Social Sciences.
